EMMERDALE star Laura Norton shared a tough health update as she returned to social media following her 3st weight loss.
revealed that she’s hit a road block in her weight loss journey, admitting she’s entered perimenopause, which caused a ‘blip’ in her progress.

The soap star, who has committed to sharing her journey with fans, is determined to get back on track, telling fans she’ll be “picking up where I left off”, in an encouraging social media post.
Sharing her update on , she wrote: “This is possibly an incredibly boring post for some. But a while ago I started a ’42 and Fit’ thread that a lot of followers invested in and showed an interest in and I keep getting messages asking how it’s going.
“I haven’t quit! I promise. And I want to show accountability with something that I started.”
The star, , shared that she experienced a “post partum hormone drop 2 years in a row” since having her two children, and admitted she’s now perimenopausal.
She added that the diagnosis, along with her demanding work schedule, has made it difficult to “factor in the time to exercise”.
But despite experiencing a “blip” in her fitness journey, which she admitted has made her feel “more lethargic and sluggish”, the actress is determined to get back on track, and wants to share her progress with fans.
She continued: “I have more time this week so I’m picking up where I left off with the exercise but I’m going to make some lifestyle changes as well.
“Earlier nights so I can wake earlier and have some time for myself to keep on top of it.
“I’m also going to change my diet. The times I eat and what I eat.”
Laura committed to sharing her progress with fans to “keep me motivated”, and added that she loves “hearing from others” who are also on a health kick.
She signed off the encouraging post by adding “accountability and results”, which was shared to her 87,000 followers.
Her post received over 1,200 likes as friends and fans sent the actress messages of support, and praised her openness.
Hits Radio DJ commented: “Persistence over perfection everyday! Keep chipping away! As long as you feel good that’s what’s important [hand clapping emoji]”.
While one pal wrote: “I’m so proud of you Laura… you are an inspiration!!! Spinning all those plates and fitting time in to looking after yourself is really challenging. But you are doing … And always with a smile. Love you always [heart emoji]”.
The 42-year-old has been dating fellow actor Mark Jordon since 2015, and the couple share two young children together.
Their kids, son Jesse and daughter Ronnie, suffer from Usher syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects hearing and vision.
Since their diagnosis, Laura has worked tirelessly with the Cure Usher Syndrome charity, which works to increase awareness of the illness, as well as raise funds for a cure.
