EMMERDALE and Coronation Street have been pulled from schedules next week in new shake-up.

The were relaunched in a new timeslot earlier this month in a bid to launch a soaps power hour each weeknight.

However just weeks into the new normal – things have gone somewhat awry.

Both soaps have been pulled from schedules for two nights next week and replaced with sport.

As it stands should air at 8pm for 30 minutes with following at 8.30pm for its own 30 minute episode.

However next Tuesday, neither soap will air.

Instead the Cup Live match between Arsenal and Chelsea will take their place.

And on Thursday, instead of the two soaps, ITV will air a rugby match between France and Ireland.

Fans have been left furious with the changes – slamming ITV for the decision.

One wrote: β€œI remember the times we used to get episodes moved to other times because of the football (even last year), but now it seems like the new standard is simply no episode at all on the football/sports days.”

A second said: β€œThis is so painful. There are very few shows that I like to watch but they keep being shunted.”

Another added: β€œThis is stupid. So they already cut all the extra episodes going from 6 to 5 per week.

β€œNow every other week it seems they lose another episode. So in 2026 how many fewer episodes will there really be compared to 2025?”

A fourth commented: β€œSame thing is happening with Corrie. This whole new schedule is a ploy to tear our beloved soap episodes away from us!”
