Only last month, split from Rafa Nadal’s old coach Francis Roig after her second-round exit at the .

It was as she looks to find consistency on court, just over fears years since .

Raducanu previously claimed she was not looking to bring in a new coach any time soon and would instead focus on working with hitting partner Alexis Canter.

Former British player Canter guided her to the Transylvania Open final and Raducanu insisted he was getting the best out of her.

She said this week after : “Right now I have Alexis in my corner. He knows me as a person. He knows me as a player.

“And I’ve actually had some success with him in the past year in Washington and in Cluj… so it’s going well.”

But according to the Times, Raducanu has decided to bring Petchey back into her team.

Petchey oversaw a positive run of results for Raducanu across a spell of four months, but was unable to commit further due to his TV punditry work for the BBC and other stations.

As a result, Raducanu hired Roig in the middle of 2025 as she prepared for the start of the US Open.

However, Petchey now set to link up with Raducanu again and work alongside Canter as she prepares for ‘The Sunshine Swing’ of the BNP Paribas Open and the Miami Open next month.

The report says it’s unclear whether Petchey will continue in her camp beyond those two tournaments.

But Canter is set to be a major part of the team and will set in her box during matches.

Petchey spoke about his relationship with Raducanu last month and insisted the pair were still on good terms.

He stressed they never fell out and even stressed he would “take a bullet for her”.

Petchey told the Big T podcast: “Emma and I never fell out. It just got to the point where I felt I couldn’t be the No1 coach [because of media commitments].

“We still chat, we’re still in good communication, she’ll still run some stuff past me. I’ll help her for ever. I’ll take a bullet for her.”

Raducanu replaced Petchey with Roig last year, but she said the two split after failing to see eye-to-eye on certain things.

She said: “I think I had a great experience with Francis in terms of how we got on so well.

“The rapport was great. I think in the end, we just weren’t aligning on certain key aspects. But we still maintain a really good relationship.”
