ELLIE SCOTNEY admits only becoming undisputed world champion can come close to topping her beloved Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup.

The die-hard Eagles fan was in the Wembley stands last summer when Palace ended their 70 YEAR wait for silverware

In contrast, Scotney became the unified WBC, IBF and WBO super-bantamweight queen in just five years of professional boxing.

And she looks to add the missing WBA jewel to her collection on April 4 in an undisputed title decider against Mayelli Flores.

Scotney let out a little grimace when asked by SunSport what occasion she will cherish the most between Palace’s crowning night or her unification.

And she told SunSport with a smirk: “Winning undisputed. I have to say it!

“But I’m walking out on the pitch on the 22nd (against Wolves). I feel like the club represents me well.

“I was there at Wembley. It was surreal. I felt like a fanatic, I was going mental.

“But seeing their journey, what it meant to the people of South London is how it felt when I won my world title.

“Growing up in South London, your roots are a bit different. To see their rise, it’s felt very similar to how I feel.”

Scotney – – was inspired to box by older brother Michael.

But she is not sure she can do anything in the ring to top Palace’ FA Cup heroics in the eyes of her big bro.

Scotney said: “We’re gonna have to ask him. I think what will be bigger for him is when he finally wins some money on me getting a knockout!

“So until that day comes, it’ll probably be the Palace. But it’s funny because I’ve had 11 fights and I’ve hugged my brother 11 times.

“It’s the only time I give him a cuddle! So that kind of shows you what it means for him as well.”

The biggest fight in Scotney’s career will fall on Easter Sunday.

But it will not stop the devout Christian from attending church in the morning – before inviting her pastor ringside to watch the bout.

Scotney said: “I even rang him to run it by him, because I wasn’t sure how that stood boxing on Sabbath itself.

“But it’s a Sunday and he said, ‘Look, it’s not in your hands, it’s in God’s, it’s the Lord’s timing.

“And the fact that he’ll be coming to the fight, praying, I just know it’s God’s timing overall.

“That’s how my Sunday’s gonna look and then it’s just getting in the zone. I never change.

“I always keep the same people around me. My brothers and it’s just that family orientated, keeping myself the same until I get in that ring and you know, it flicks”
