The Elf on the Shelf Hide and Seek game features a six-inch elf which plays sounds and music to guide ‘seekers’ towards a hiding spot.

Once the viral character has been hidden in your home, it emits giggles and musical hints every few seconds.

All you need to do is first activate the timer, and then kids have a race against time to find it before the time runs out.

When they discover its hiding place, you can press a snowflake button which activates a “Dance Mode”, so you can celebrate with “lights and sounds.”

Many parents seemed delighted that you can pick up the toy for a bargain price from Home Bargain.

One person wrote: “Omg I have just literally brought this for my little one bargain.”

Another added: “We got it the other day, was so happy to find it in home bargains.”
