The immediate past Chairman of Agege Local Government Area in Lagos State, Ganiyu Egunjobi has emerged as the winner of All Progressives Congress, APC, the House of Assembly primary election in Agege constituency 01.
Egunjobi emerged in the election held on Wednesday.
The primary election was conducted by the political party ahead of 2027 general elections.
DAILY POST gathered that Barrister. Azeez Ninalowo also emerged as winners of APC House of Assembly primary election in Agege constituency 02.
Our correspondent gathered that the duo had earlier been adopted as the party’s consensus candidates during a meeting presided over by Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
The meeting was held last Tuesday.
The duo were announced as winners after the exercise on Wednesday.
The elections were conducted in the presence of policemen and other security personnel.
The duo described their emergence as a welcome development to the party.
They used the opportunity to call on all aspirants and supporters to close ranks.
They enjoined them to channel their energies towards ensuring victory for the party in the elections.
