EFCC arrests Governor Alia’s aide Mkor Aondona over alleged sextortion

Operatives of the Makurdi zonal directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested Dr Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser to Governor Hyacinth Alia on Documentation, Research, and Planning, for alleged sextortion and cyberbullying.

The commission disclosed this in a terse statement posted on its official Facebook page on Saturday.

According to the statement, the governor’s aide was arrested on Friday in Makurdi following claims by some female students accusing him of unethical and criminal behaviour involving sexual exploitation.

Mkor Aondona was also accused of cyberbullying and blackmail.

The petitioners, according to EFCC, alleged that Aondona routinely recruited slim and attractive ladies for ushering jobs and insisted on sexual favours as a condition for selection.

The ladies then became vulnerable and engaged in sexual affairs with him.

Unknown to them, the governor’s aide had recorded videos of all the sexual acts without their consent, threatening to leak the videos if they refused to continue the affairs with him.

EFCC stated that the suspect will soon be charged in court.
