An EastEnders superfan has named her baby after Peggy Mitchell and has the Queen Vic landlady’s face printed on her daughter's bows.
Sophie Marson-Riding, 24, shares that her daughter, now four months old, gets excited while watching the soap.


Sophie was discussing names with her partner Paul Evans, 31, before she became pregnant.
She recalled: “Since I love EastEnders, I was suggesting names from the show.
“Peggy just resonated with me, and I absolutely love it. When we discovered we were having a girl, I was even more thrilled.
“I’m also a huge fan of Phil Mitchell, so it felt fitting.”
They welcomed their daughter, Peggy-Jo Evans, on June 27.
Sophie, a caregiver from Lancashire, mentioned: “Paul’s mother passed away last year, and her name was Joanne, so we wanted to incorporate a piece of her into our daughter's name as well.”
She purchased custom-made bows featuring the face of Peggy, the matriarch famously played by the late Barbara Windsor.
Sophie also has baby clothes adorned with Peggy’s iconic phrase: “Get out of my pub.”
While watching the soap with her daughter, Sophie said: “Her little arms and legs start moving around.
“She sits there with her eyes glued to the TV.”
Paul expressed his love for their daughter's traditional name: “I absolutely adore it — plus it makes the love of my life happy.”
