EASTENDERS has aired a shock double exit after two show stars quit the soap.

The soap has said goodbye to the two actors after several years on the Square – but neither of them got the duff-duff ending.

Instead they left towards the end of the episode after deciding to move to Australia together.

Freddie Slater and Anna Knight – who are played by actors and – both said farewell to the show today in the scenes.

They were surrounded by their families outside the Queen Vic as they left for a new life down under dressed in outback clothes.

Bobby spent four years on the show while Molly played Anna for two.

The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year how both Bobby and Molly would be leaving the show.

An EastEnders spokeswoman said previously: “We can confirm that will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

A telly insider added: “Bosses had a meeting with Bobby only recently as they had a plan in mind for a storyline, and it just so happened that Bobby was also thinking that now was the right time to look for other opportunities outside the show.

“The timing of the decision worked for both, but his final scenes are not for a while yet.

“The character has had a great run, but the time is now right for Bobby to look for other opportunities, and for EastEnders to wave goodbye to Freddie Slater.”

Likewise, the BBC also confirmed Molly’s exit, saying: “We can confirm that will be leaving later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

An insider added: “Molly came into the show two years ago, and in that time has been trusted with some great storylines.

“It’s just so happened that when Molly was considering other options in her career, a meeting was held to discuss the future of the character, and both parties were in mutual agreement that it was the right time for Anna Knight to wave goodbye to Walford.”
