EASTENDERS star Jake Wood is appealing to fans for assistance as a colleague fights for his life after falling from an 11-storey building.

He spent nine days in a coma and underwent multiple life-saving surgeries; his mother described it as a “miracle” that he survived.

Now, the family is urgently trying to raise £26,000 to cover Connor’s medical bills.

Jake shared the GoFundMe page on Instagram, stating: “Please help Connor and his family during this devastating time.

“He is a wonderful person and well-respected by everyone at the studios. Please contribute if you can; thank you.”

The Enders cast has shown their support with financial contributions.

Jake has donated £200, Scott Maslen £300, Gillian Taylforth, Diane Richards, and Adam Woodyatt have all given £100 each, while another cast member has contributed £200.

So far, a total of £22,790 has been raised.

The family expressed uncertainty regarding whether Connor will receive an insurance payout and how long that process might take.

Page organizer Victoria Dean provided an update on January 2, noting that Connor was aware of his mother Denise being by his side.

It read: “After nine days in a coma, he is now off mechanical ventilation and breathing with minimal support.

“He remains in ICU and is still under light sedation but is aware that Denise is present and is responding to her. He was scheduled for another surgery today, but this has been postponed, and we hope to get a date for next week.

“Thank you so much for all your support; it truly means the world to all of us. Love from Denise & family Xxxx.”
