EASTENDERS has been hit by a social media storm after airing a glaring continuity error during one of the soap’s darkest storylines.
During a tense scene between Bea, Honey and Billy, viewers were left distracted when the weapon being held to Billy’s neck appeared to change before their eyes.

The corkscrew wielded by Bea initially had a plain handle, but seconds later it had turned green when the camera cut back.
Fans were quick to circulate a clip of the blunder on TikTok, branding it a “blooper” and comparing the scene to “a school play”.
One viewer who clocked the mistake wrote: “Yes I noticed that too! I’m beginning to think the writers are testing us to see how much lunacy we’ll put up with!”
“Yes the cork screw changed a few times,” confirmed a fellow TikTok user, as another offered a possible explanation, saying: “The green one will be the one from practice scenes.”

Soaps like have a crew member called a script supervisor whose job is to make sure everything matches from shot to shot.
They keep notes and photos to track props, outfits and even details such as which hand a character is holding something in.
When blunders do happen, they can be caused by scenes being reshot at a later date when the original prop is no longer available.
The dramatic scenes came at the climax of months-long campaign to tear and apart.
The unhinged schemer, played by , had used fake AI recordings to make it appear Billy was trying to have an affair with her, while also secretly running up debts in Honey’s name.
After Honey finally became suspicious of her friend, Bea kidnapped her before later and threatening to kill him.
Honey eventually fought Bea off before police arrived and arrested her.
Other viewers took issue with the episode as a whole, with some viewers branding it the “dumbest ever” after spotting what they claimed were numerous plot holes.
One viewer wrote on Reddit: “This had to be the dumbest episode of EastEnders I have ever seen. How Billy hid out in Phil’s gym at night (with the blinds wide open as he chats to Honey on the sofa) is beyond stupid and I was not aware that Bea had a car?”
Another complained: “Genuinely the daftest thing I have watched.”
