The magnitude 4.7 shock wave struck at around 7.46pm on Friday night.

People rushed into the streets as tremors rippled through the area, cutting out power across the region.

Boulders broke off cliffs and cascaded down into the streets of residential neighbourhoods, crushing parked cars on impact.

Shocking footage shows people looking on in horror at the destruction as debris and broken rocks scatter the ground.
