Don’t let politicians distract you – Yul Edochie to Tinubu

Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to concentrate on addressing Nigeria’s pressing issues rather than being distracted by conversations surrounding the 2027 general elections.

Taking to his Instagram page, the actor stressed that the country is currently grappling with serious challenges, particularly the high cost of living and worsening insecurity.

The actor, who has been a vocal supporter of President Tinubu, wrote: “To my dear President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, @officialasiwajubat. Please don’t let politicians distract you with 2027. We’re still in 2025. High cost of living and high rate of insecurity are still ravaging Nigerians. These 2 remain the most pressing issues to deal with. May God lead you, sir.”;

Recall that Edochie recently appealed to President Tinubu to consider reviving the cashless policy introduced by former President Muhammadu Buhari, arguing that it helped reduce criminal activities and curbed the high cost of living.

DAILY POST compiled some of the reactions that followed Yul Edochie’s message to the President:

@classic_ulo said, “You see this mandate that you are standing on, you will soon have arthritis on your leg.”;

@nosakaduna wrote, “I do not have a problem with you, but you see all the curses Nigeria is raining on Tinubu you must share inside.”;

@thebrainbusy commented, “Good thoughts but sadly, your dear president will not listen.”;

@bliss_nation reacted, “Now I understand say na mock you dey mock this man because he did not give you any position.”;

@shanic_beauty_empire said, “Are we not supposed to be relaxing, or you are also tired of relaxing?”;

@richman_worldwide wrote, “Are you not with him again? I thought you are with him.”;

@e_autotekk said, “Now you have regained your senses.”;

@bigsmart_ commented, “Best thing you have done this year.”;

@comicmacduff reacted, “I loved you but you have become a shadow of yourself. I saw a man who loved Nigeria and came out for presidency and I was thinking you will live your father’s legacy. Indeed you are leaving your own legacy. This is my first time of seeing something like this on your comment section because it has touched me deeply. I do not care about your marital life but about Nigeria, I care about a person who is encouraging this evil government which you are doing.”;
