THIS is the moment Rapunzel suffers a brutal “bird attack” as her famous golden locks were pecked off by crows in front of horrified children.

The bizarre scenes unfolded at , where the animatronic princess sways and sings from her tower window on the Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival boat ride.

But what was meant to be a fairytale spectacle quickly turned into a show at the Japan park.

Footage shows two large black crows perched on the princess’ head, relentlessly pecking, tugging and ripping chunks of her long blonde .

The can be seen yanking out think tufts, scattering strands as they go, while the lifelike figure continues smiling and singing.

At one point, one crow braces itself and violently jerks backward, tearing away a sizeable clump of hair, leaving the once flowing locks visibly shredded.

Families watching the scene were left horrified as the romantic ride carried on as normal beneath the grotesque spectacle overhead.

The animatronic is part of the Tangled-themed attraction, which opened in June 2024 and takes visitors through Rapunzel’s love story with Flynn Rider.

The high-tech figure is designed to look impressively lifelike, making the attack all the more disturbing.

Some onlookers speculated the crows were stealing the hair to build nests, though that did little to soften the grim visuals.

And it’s not the first time ’s cutting-edge creations have gone wrong.

In shocking footage, the three-foot-tall snowman is seen chatting to guests before abruptly freezing.

His arms snap stiff to his sides, his eyes fix forward before he topples straight backwards onto the ground.

As he hits the cobbles, his carrot nose flies clean off.

Terrified kids gasp and scream as staff rush in, kneeling beside the motionless figure before lifting it away backstage.

The high-tech Olaf – designed to walk, talk and interact with visitors – had only debuted days earlier.

Despite engineers building it to withstand falls, the dramatic collapse quickly went viral, with viewers split between laughing and feeling uneasy.

“He got overworked y’all give him a break”, said one commenter.

Another joked: “Olaf realised he had to do this for the rest of his life… then gave up.”

“His nose falling off really ties the whole thing together for me” quipped one X user.

Adventure World is home to a musical boat attraction leading visitors to Elsa’s Ice Palace.

It also has a version of , where children can meet characters Anna, Elsa, Hans, and Olaf in-person.
