DISNEY is facing furious backlash once again with its latest Christmas advertisement being slammed for promoting a “woke agenda” and pushing “secret pro-Palestine propaganda.”

Disney+, the streaming arm of the American media giant, released the publicity campaign featuring a slice of watermelon, just in time for Christmas.

In the ad, a young girl carries around a laptop which has a watermelon sticker on the lid, alongside one of Mickey Mouse.

Symbolism of the red, black and green fruit has long been associated with Palestine because it shares the same colours with the flag.

The teen watches Disney films and TV in a school library on the laptop which clearly displays the sticker to audiences.

The ad A Story of a Lifetime has been heavily criticised by politicians for including alleged Pro-Palestine propaganda.

Conservative MP Richard Holden told The Telegraph Disney has some “serious questions to answer here”.

“Either they have screwed up royally on quality control or the woke agenda runs so deep they don’t even notice when they’re spreading anti-Jewish propaganda,” Mr Holden said, who is a supporter of Conservative Friends of Israel.

Since the six-day war in 1967 when Israel made it illegal to display the Palestine flag, watermelon and watermelon emojis have been used as a shorthand for support.

Once a beloved cartoon film studio, in recent years Disney has been embroiled in a number of “woke” controversies.

A spokesperson for Disney+ said: “The Disney+ Christmas advert celebrates Disney’s iconic heritage in storytelling and the enduring impact those stories have in people’s lives”.

“The sticker shown in the advert was chosen randomly and is not a political statement,” they said.

The Sun has reached out to the advertising agency involved for comment.

Disney’s Snow White, released earlier this year, was shrouded in controversy.

The 2025 film came under fire over its portrayal of the dwarfs and not least their omission from the film’s title – simply Snow White.

, riled diehards by slating spouted an “outdated” image of the fairer sex, compared with the remake.

“People are making jokes about ours being the PC Snow White, where it’s like, yeah, it is – because it needed that,” she said.

She even went as far as to call the handsome prince a “stalker.”

In an 2022 interview, when the new film started shooting, Zegler said: “The original cartoon came out in 1937 – and very evidently so.

“There’s a big focus on her love story with . Weird. So we didn’t do that this time.”

The robot has been a fan favourite character since 1977 that communicates with beeps and electronic noises.

The redecorated and renamed figure of the normally blue, white and silver droid left enthusiasts cold.

It was released by Disney as part of its annual Pride Collection but many accused the giant of injecting politics into their favourite space series.

Lyrics have also been changed from classic fairy tales to reflect modern ideals around consent.

The most famous song in The Little Mermaid – Kiss The Girl – had major lyric changes in the 2023 live action rendition.

Rather than being told to kiss his mermaid lover, love interest Eric is advised to ask her if he can kiss her.

The lyrics used to be: “Yes, you want her / Look at her, you know you do / Possible she wants you too, there is one way to ask her / It don’t take a word, not a single word / Go on and kiss the girl.”

They are now: “Use your words, boy, and ask her / If the time is right and the time is tonight / Go on and kiss the girl.”
