The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday suggested the solution to tackling corruption in Nigeria’s power sector.
Sowore, who doubles as a human rights activist, said dismantling the cartel, democratising electricity, and delivering power to Nigerians remains the solution to tackling corruption in the sector.
Posting on X, he Sowore claimed that corruption in the sector is vast and entrenching, stressing that the monumental hiest in the sector has kept Nigerians in darkness.
He wrote: “The corruption in Nigeria’s power sector is so vast, so deeply entrenched, that it will take a sledgehammer, not a feather duster, to smash the monumental heist that has kept our people in darkness for decades.
“I saw this as far back as 2018, before this @OfficialAPCNg operative admitted it publicly in this podcast.
“Hear it here. The solution remains the same:, dismantle the cartel, democratize electricity, and deliver power to the people. #Sowore2027.”
