The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has urged the member representing Obingwa-West constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Erondu was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Kalu who gave the advice on Saturday during a visit to the Abia lawmaker in Umuahia, said Erondu is needed in the APC, especially for the assignment of ensuring President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

“Staying in the PDP is under-developing yourself. APC needs people with potentials like you. This is the right time to come. There is life in APC,” Kalu said.

He added that the task of delivering Tinubu in the 2027 general elections is bigger than any personal political ambition, hence, the need to collaborate with Erondu, whom he described as a grassroot politician that is loved by his people.

Kalu further disclosed that Abia APC has registered more than 160,000 members so far and commended the Obingwa West representative for improving the lives of his constituents through his empowerment program.

In his response, Erondu thanked Kalu for the visit, and promised to reciprocate his gesture of solidarity, including working for Tinubu’s re-election.
