A TOP-SELLING dehumidifier has been removed from shelves over fears it could set on fire.
Customers have been urged to stop using the product immediately.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) flagged the Ebac Limited Air Dehumidifier for having a defect in the sensor assembly area.
This can cause the product to overheat and ignite, presenting a serious risk of .
The OPSS said: “The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”

Those owning the device have also been told to contact the company for a full refund, as well as customer support for more information.
The recall affects batch numbers: DD0625 0008, DD1025 0002, DD0625 0010, DD1025 0001, DD1525 0001, and DD1525 0002.
Ebac is a manufacturer specialising in dehumidifiers, washing machines, heat pumps and ventilation.
Their products are sold in major UK retailers including Argos, Screwfix and Wickes.
The last known recall for an Ebac dehumidifier was in 2000.
The product also presented a fire safety risk and users were told to return the product for an essential fix.
