NICOLAS Alves has been catapulted to a whole new level of fame as a member of December 10, but this isn’t the singer’s first time on television.
The talented heartthrob was recently handpicked by Simon Cowell as one of seven stars to front his all-new boyband, as seen on show, The Next Act.

Nicolas, 16, has been warming up for years to take the world by storm with his vocal talents, having previously appeared on two massive television shows as a child singer.
Back in 2022, he starred on the third season of Kids in and managed to make it all the way to the final.
However, heartbreak followed as after singing American band Four Seasons’ single Beggin’, he fell at the last hurdle and finished in second place, as runner-up behind winner Maria Gil.
During his stint on the show, he belted out songs including Rag’n’Bone Man’s Human, Michael Jackon’s They Don’t Care About Us and Queen’s mega hit Somebody To Love.
His stint on the show catapulted him to fame and he was then chosen to represent at the Junior in Yerevan, Armenia that same year.
The winner of , Maria, was too old to compete and so the honour of performing at Eurovision was given to Nicolas.
He sang a song called Anos 70 and managed to garner 121 points for his ballad performance.
Nicolas’s Eurovision stint saw him come in a respectable eighth place – with the competition consisting of 16 countries in total.
won that year with artist Lissandro and her song Oh Maman!, which was awarded 203 points in total.
They were followed by Armenia, , , , Spain and .
Fast forward to 2025 and Nicolas impressed Simon during his show audition, so much so that he compared him to a young .
The teenager said on the show: “When it comes to music I am very serious. It’s what I want to do, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.
“Of course you have to have fun with it, but to a certain degree it has to be taken seriously too.”
Now a part of December 10, Nicolas has been keeping busy with his six new band mates – Cruz Lee-Ojo, Hendrik Christofferson, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Danny Bretherton and Sean Hayden.

The band last week, a cover of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye – but with a live, acoustic twist.
The accompanying video sees them strumming guitars and singing together in the studio, in what is an intimate and stripped back recording.
Following the airing of the Netflix show, The Sun exclusively revealed that December 10 are which will follow their crack at fame.
Cameras have been following December 10 since then as they headed to Nashville to record new music, preparing for launch and taking their first steps towards fame.
A source said: “There was a quiet hope that a show about finding a boyband would be as popular now as it was back in the days of .
“But everyone has been thrilled by the reception because the whole world of entertainment has totally changed since then.
“Following December 10 for a second series is a no-brainer. They’re rocketing online and already have a strong fanbase, and a camera crew has been following them since series one wrapped.
“All that content would make up series two and even if Netflix don’t commission it, there’s options like streaming it directly to fans on .”
