SIR David and Victoria Beckham are locked in a bitter row with neighbours over proposed “Blackpool-style” illuminations at their £12million country pile.

But locals claim the glow will pollute the skies over village of , and are more in keeping with — where the A-list couple also own a £60million mansion.
In a long letter of objection to West Oxfordshire District Council, resident James Worthington has warned the proposal will cause damage to wildlife, including bats.
He wrote: “What is proposed is more akin to Miami or Florida NOT GREAT TEW.
“Spotlights, is this really Great Tew or have I mistaken this area for Blackpool.”
Mr Worthington also appeared to claim get special treatment because of their fame.
He said they have been “drip feeding” more than 30 applications through the council’s planning department over ten years.
He added: “It would appear the applicants can and do anything they want simply because they appear to think they can.
“Festooned lighting hanging along a ‘proposed bridge’, yet where are the applications indicating the installation of this bridge or has it already been built?”

They are estranged from eldest Brooklyn, 27, who has alleged they are “controlling and disrespectful”.
It is believed the application is the 32nd David and Victoria have lodged since buying the estate in 2016.
Rounding on them, Mr Worthington signed off: “I said in other objections, if the applicants want to live in suburbia, then why come to an area like Great Tew.
“What about the poor foraging and commuting bats . . . have the council now decided wildlife is not in their remit?”
The district council will decide on the application later this year.
