The controversial Pietreczko, who made headlines last month, now suggests that the PDC should enhance their efforts to manage disruptive audience members at the Ally Pally.

He stated: “The booing is not the issue, but the whistling [is].”

“It disrupts concentration at that moment, and I think every player dislikes it.”

When asked about potential measures to address whistling from fans, he replied: “I’m not sure. Perhaps more security for the audience?”

“It’s challenging. It’s similar to loud whistling… I can’t specify [what should be done].”

Pietreczko was also inquired whether he and other players discuss whistling when they are backstage.

He responded: “No, we don’t talk about this backstage, no.”

“I think nobody can alter the crowd's behavior because it’s happening.”

“I can ask the crowd, ‘Please don’t whistle,’ but I believe everyone understands that the crowd won’t change.”

Pietreczko, who caused an upset by defeating Ross Smith in the first round and then winning against Motomu Sakai, added: “I hope for a good match. Maybe I can win, and perhaps I will advance to the fourth round.”

Mike De Decker also criticized the Ally Pally audience after his unexpected first-round loss.

He remarked: “But the crowd, wow.”

“Booing and whistling shouldn’t be something that’s regarded as normal or acceptable.”
