DARTS referee Paul Hinks trolled Chelsea after their unusual team huddle in the middle of the pitch.

Under , it has become a tradition to perform a team huddle in the centre circle.

But in the Blues’ 1-0 loss to Newcastle at yesterday,

The awkward moment went viral with Sky Sports cameras catching the moment – which seemed more of a parody than real life – perfectly.

In response, Modus Super Series posted a video of their own, with ref Hinks being surrounded by players.

Audio of the huddle from Premier League commentators could be heard over the top of the video while a camera went around the circle in a perfect mirror to the Tierney huddle gatecrash.

Chelsea fans couldn’t believe they were being mocked so widely, with one saying: “Sack him tonight. We’re a f***ing clown show.”

A second said: “World class.”

A third added: “We’re being f***ing laughed at! @Chelsea”

Another said: “Look what you’ve done @ChelseaFC.”

Despite the fun rivals on the internet have been having with the huddle, Chelsea boss

Rosenior blasted the official after the game, saying: “My players made the decision that they wanted to be around the ball, to respect the ball and show unity and leadership. That is not my decision.

“That was a decision between the leadership group and the team. There is nothing that they’re doing with that huddle that is disrespectful to the opposition.

“We had a meeting with the referee, my assistant goes in, the first thing he talks about is our huddle.

“He says about when I complained about Arsenal being in our half. We’re not being disrespectful to the opposition.

“If Paul had focused more on his job, which was to make the right decision, we have a penalty today.

“I don’t think anybody in this room can say that Woltemade doesn’t kick down in the box. So, let’s focus on the things that are important.

“My team showing unity is not as important as getting the decisions right on the pitch.”

The former and Strasbourg boss added he would be speaking to PGMOL about the situation.
