DARTS favourite Philip Brzezinski has responded to fans’ calls for him to replace iconic MC John McDonald.
Brzezinski has shot to the spotlight as the regular master of ceremonies on the European Tour.

But his day job is Head of Sport at PDC Europe and he is responsible for organising events in Europe that are not televised.
However it is his work with a mic that has won him acclaim, with the German presenting the European Tour and major exhibition tournaments.
Some have called for him to be given the MC gig on televised tournaments in the UK now McDonald has stepped down.
Brzezinski responded to those suggestions, saying: “It’s great to see people would like me there.
“But I can say with a clear conscience: every time the PDC has asked me for something, I’ve said yes. I’ve never turned down an offer.
“They’ve simply never asked me to take on that role in the United Kingdom. It’s as simple as that.”
Another presenter who featured at the World Darts Championship, Lewis Jones, believes it is not possible to “replace” McDonald.
He said: “I don’t like the term ‘replacing John’.
“You can’t. He’s irreplaceable as an MC and as a human being.”
McDonald, 65, after one final appearance at the Worlds final between and .
He had been working with the PDC since 2004 and became the main man during ‘s era of domination.
Explaining the reason for stepping down, he said: “I’m not getting any younger for sure.
“I’ve missed so much of my own children growing up, never mind my grandchildren.
“And what really spurred me on [to retire] was I got a call from my grandson, who plays at the Chelsea Foundation.
“He said, ‘I’m playing at Southampton tomorrow, grandad, can you come and watch?’
“I was like, ‘No, I can’t, I’m up in Leicester.’
“And he said to me that it’s alright because his other grandad could take him, and I felt a bit left out again.”
