DARREN FLETCHER is remaining tight-lipped about the possibility of including his twins in the Manchester United first team tonight.

The Scotsman finds himself in the unique position of managing both of his sons – Jack and Tyler, who are 18 years old – after taking temporary charge of the team.

Jack has participated in three games this season, while Tyler is eager to make his senior debut.

No Premier League manager has ever played two of their sons in a match.

And caretaker boss Fletcher kept fans guessing about whether either of his midfield sons would take the field at Turf Moor.

He stated: “I’m not going to reveal anything.”

“They were in the training group on Monday, which was arranged before I arrived. They’ve been part of the squad recently.

“We have some players returning from injury, so we’ll evaluate that tomorrow. We still need to assess a couple of players due to the quick turnaround from games.

“The twins are part of the peripheral squad, but whether they make the matchday squad remains uncertain.”

The Fletcher brothers are among the brightest talents in the academy and will be eager to impress if their father Darren gives them the opportunity.

Fletcher, 41, who is the head coach of the Under-18s, is one of three Manchester United legends being considered for the interim manager position until the end of the season.

Michael Carrick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have also been interviewed, with Ruud van Nistelrooy as a potential outside candidate.

However, Fletcher is determined to enjoy this experience while it lasts and help United stabilize until a long-term solution is found.

He remarked: “It’s surreal; it’s an incredible honor to lead a Manchester United team.

“I never imagined in my wildest dreams that this could happen. It all transpired so quickly.

“Everyone expects Manchester United to be at the top and winning – that’s what we need to achieve, and I will do my utmost in whatever role to make that happen.”
