SunSport understands that has not yet decided what he will do at the end of the season.
But the Austrian has been delaying Palace’s attempts to tie him down to fresh terms at Selhurst Park.
And Sky Sports News has reported that the South Londoners have put together a list of candidates to potentially replace Glasner after stepping up contingency plans.
Palace insist that they are locked in ongoing discussions with the former Eintracht Frankfurt chief.
Chairman Steve Parish and other influential figures behind the scenes would prefer to hand Glasner an extended deal after leading the Eagles to their first-ever trophy in the last season.
He followed that up by clinching the Community Shield and Palace have also been involved in the Uefa Conference League this term.
But there is an increasing expectation that Glasner will let his contract expire in the hope of finding another job.
The ex-Wolfsburg head coach will not be short of options because a number of Premier League and top European sides are monitoring his situation.
Glasner has also been if Enzo Maresca is axed.
He has spearheaded Palace to 43 wins over the course of his 87 matches in charge.
And Glasner has become a firm fan favourite since being in February 2024.
Getafe chief Jose Bordalas, 61, has been linked as one of the names on Palace’s shortlist.
The uncertainty has come with the Eagles sitting just two points adrift of the Premier League’s top four.
