“IF there’s one thing I’m not gonna be, it’s like you,” Cruz Beckham sings on his new track, Wannabe.
That’s a familiar title — mum Victoria launched her career with a song of the same name three decades ago.

But this one, with references to , and wanting to be like , shows he is moving in a very different direction to his mother.
It is on Cruz’s debut EP, Wear & Tear, out today, and it’s actually very good.
He first announced he was launching a serious music career more than four years ago, when he was tipped to emulate .
But he took his time, crafted his sound, and has now emerged with his first project, which shows he isn’t following anyone else’s path — especially not the Posh Spice pop route.
The record is heavily Britpop-influenced, with sonic nods to Kula Shaker and The Stone Roses.
He’s found his groove, unlike big brother , who has gone from photographer to model to chef.
And Cruz doesn’t shy away from lyrics about his brother on a
On the track, a stripped-back ballad reminiscent of ‘ Half The World Away, he sings: “Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much. It’s breaking her heart.
“It shows in the small things that you don’t do. I guess in theе end, it’s you, yourself, and you.”
And speaking in the new issue of Dork magazine, he acknowledged why people might be sceptical about his music, but insisted he’s prepared to put in the hard graft.
The youngster, who has already played 25 shows this year, said: “It’s better to be underestimated than overestimated.
“I’m glad that people are liking the songs. I’m glad that people are giving me the opportunity. To be honest, I was surprised they even gave me the opportunity in the first place.
“I understand that they would think that everything’s gonna be a bit s**t and a bit too polished.
“But you know, I love , and I really love playing live, and I’m just excited to be able to do it.”
He added: “My experiences in life have been very different to a lot of people’s experiences, but I still feel like I’ve got something to say.”
Cruz isn’t the only one with new music out, has dropped his single 3310 from his sixth album Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning), out on October 9.
And Remi Wolf has released her single Bottle from her third album Mud, out on the same day.

“I’M definitely living my best life,” gushed last night ahead of today’s release of her third album, What Are The Odds.
And with pulsating, addictive club beats which pair beautifully with the Walsall-born star’s voice, the record is the perfect embodiment of that sentiment.
teases the change in the direction of her sound at the start of songs like Pretend and The Way That It Was, with soulful musings giving way to up-tempo rhythms that were made for dancing.
Lead track For Life is a pacy introduction to the 12-track record, with What’s Done Is Done and The Way It Was showcasing some of Jorja’s most honest and compelling work to date – with the latter bound to shape a few futures of the brokenhearted.
Now it’s time to celebrate for Jorja, with a performance at All Points East in London tonight before her first ever headline show at London’s O2 Arena on July 17 next year as part of the venue’s 20th birthday celebrations.

IN news that has made me feel incredibly old, X Factor boyband are reuniting to celebrate their . . . 15th anniversary.
JJ Hamblett, who shot to fame with , Jaymi Hensley and Josh Cuthbert, on the talent show in 2012, told me: “We did the London Palladium on the ten-year anniversary.
“Next year we’re planning a tour or a one-off show. We haven’t decided yet, but I’m hoping it’s a tour, and maybe festivals as well.”
The band called it day in 2019, before reforming in 2022 and are now keen on another reunion.
Fans may also get to hear new music, with JJ adding: “There is one song – we were thinking about releasing it on the second album.
“It fits lyrically so perfectly for us wanting to still be a band. I’m hoping we’re going to release that.”

Last summer Post and Christy also parted ways, but now they are back on and a new video on social media shows them snogging, with eagle-eyed fans noticing a massive rock on her ring finger.

as he returned to the stage after breaking his leg – and now needs an operation.
I told earlier this week how he had fractured his leg in a motorbike accident but he soldiered on and performed in Portugal earlier this week, ahead of Pukkelpop festival in Belgium tonight.
But Yungblud, who was helped on stage by dancers dressed as nurses, told his fans on Instagram that he now requires serious help to get him fighting fit.
He said: “If you’re going to be there on Friday, give me the f***ing energy. Honestly, I need it to be wild.
“I’ve done some ligaments in my knee which is f***ing mad. After this show I’m going to get myself operated on, get back to normal, get ready for touring next year.”
