CRAIG BELLAMY has reignited his rivalry with Jesse Marsch as Wales finds itself on a potential collision course with World Cup co-hosts Canada next summer.

This follows the 1-0 friendly victory between the two nations in September.

Bellamy expressed his frustration after the match: “Seeing them celebrate at the end, I thought: ‘I hope to see you at the World Cup. I hope to face you again.’”

This sets the stage for a potential Group B opener between the two teams in Toronto on June 12.

When asked about Marsch’s celebrations in Swansea, Bellamy responded: “Honestly, all of that irritates me. They all do. It’s important to show respect.

“It’s not about the opposing team; that’s just part of the game that I perceive differently. It might be more suited for TikTok or Instagram.

“I’m not outdated, believe me. I don’t consider myself old-fashioned, but there is a level of respect to maintain.

“We first need to qualify. But if that happens, we will definitely have a good conversation beforehand.”

Marsch was in charge for just under a year from 2022 to 2023.

He added: “I don’t have any issues with that guy, by the way; I think he has a problem with the world. There’s a part of me that actually appreciates him from a distance without really knowing him.

“However, some of the things he says, especially in his interviews before other matches after facing us, I find quite intriguing.”

Wales will compete against Bosnia in a World Cup play-off semi-final in Cardiff on March 26.

A win would lead to a final match against either Northern Ireland or another opponent in the Welsh capital five days later.

Bellamy remarked: “It’s important not to look too far ahead. My entire focus is on Bosnia. Bosnia is the priority. If we don’t win, it’s over.

“I always keep that in mind: we must qualify first.

“We need to get there first, but if that happens, we will certainly have a nice conversation before that as well.”
