CORONATION Street star Sally Carman has revealed there will be “fireworks” when Abi finds out Carl cheated on her with James.

Meanwhile bad boy Carl has also been enjoying a series of hook ups with James behind Abi’s back.
But it’s all about to come crashing down as Sally, 44, revealed Carl is about to get his comeuppance – but in a very unexpected way.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun about how Abi will react to finding out about cheating Carl, Sally said: “I would like to see the Abi of old come out when she used to blow cars up and puts plates of spaghetti over people’s heads and hold guns to peoples heads and all those kind of things. I’m up for anything, so lets see.”
Abi, who previously battled with a drug addiction and PTSD, said the the moment she discovers what Carl’s been up to will be ‘fireworks’.
The soap star said Carl will feel the wrath of Abi, saying: “Corrie is full of surprises. Let’s see what happens, anything could happen, but it’s not the obvious I would say. There will certainly be fireworks.”
Although Corrie’s favourite couple Abi and Kevin are no more – Sally insisted they’ll still be shooting plenty of scenes together in the coming months.
But Sally kept tight-lipped on whether Kevin and Abi will have a future.
“It’s awful but to be fair we didn’t know he had a brother until about 25 minutes ago, so I don’t feel that bad,” she told us.
“It’s a great storyline. I get to work with Le Vell, I adore him.
“Johnny had big boots to fill and he’s filled them brilliantly.
“He’s a great addition to the Websters.
“I have it on good authority that I will still be working with Le Vell in some capacity, so I’m happy.
“I genuinely don’t know [if Abi and Kevin will have a future]. I would like there to be.
“Abi and Kevin were just a brilliant mismatched perfect for each other couple.”
It comes after Carl Webster actor Jonathan Howard said viewers are in for a saucy treat with even more .
Carl has continued to lead a double life, but actor Jonathan has insisted it’s only a matter of time before he’s caught out.
But before that happens, the soap star teased they’ll be plenty more sex scenes on the cards, saying it’s becoming a running joke on set.
Jonathan exclusively told The Sun at the Inside Soap Awards 2025 what to expect, saying: “A lot more sex, Carl is definitely going to have a lot more sex, he’s going to enjoy himself.
“His impulsiveness and selfishness is going to catch up with him for sure.
“He’s going to have some confrontations to face the effect of the causes he has made.”
Jonathan joked that the crew has teased him about the number of sex scenes his character has had since joining the show.
When asked if he enjoys filming the racy scenes, he said: “It’s becoming a running joke with the crew, every time I’m in that hotel room, the crew are like ‘who have you got today?’.
“It’s obviously fun, it’s fun to explore that side of my sexuality and that intimacy that you get to have. They’ll be more sexy scenes.”
