CORONATION Street and Emmerdale are well established as two of Britain’s best loved TV shows.
However, due to a much anticipated reality TV final, fans of the shows will have to wait before catching the next episode, here’s why.

Are Coronation Street and Emmerdale on tonight?
and will not air tonight (April 24) due to the .
Emmerdale is usually shown at 8pm, whereas Corrie airs at 8.30pm.
However, the I’m A Celeb live final starts at 7.30pm and continues until 9pm, then returns at 10pm, meaning there isn’t time to show either soap today.
This is a regular occurrence on , often when they are showing live sport, such as England men’s and women’s international football.
Because of both soaps not airing, they will also not be available to watch on .
ITVX usually streams episodes of the shows on the day it airs on TV, meaning fans can watch it earlier, however this won’t be happening tonight.
When are Coronation Street and Emmerdale returning?
Luckily for soap fans, you won’t have to wait too long for the shows to return.
On Monday, April 27, Emmerdale will air at 8.00pm, whilst Corrie will follow at it’s usual time of 8.30pm.
Fans will be treated to five 30 minute episodes of each show from Monday to Friday.
