Police have apprehended demonstrators chanting “globalise the intifada” at a pro-Palestinian rally in the wake of the tragic Bondi Beach shooting.

Metropolitan Police officers were observed detaining individuals at the protest, which took place outside the Ministry of Justice building in Westminster this evening.

Hundreds congregated at the location, with some seen struggling with officers as they were removed from the scene.

This comes after a joint statement was released today by the Greater Manchester Police and Metropolitan Police in response to the Bondi Beach shooting.

Jewish individuals celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney were targeted by two gunmen.

Fifteen people lost their lives in the incident, including a 10-year-old victim of the Bondi Beach massacre.

This incident occurred approximately two months after two individuals were killed in a terrorist attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester.

A spokesperson for the police confirmed: “There have been three arrests to date.

“Two individuals who shouted slogans calling for intifada were arrested for racially aggravated public order offences.

“A third individual was arrested for obstructing the aforementioned arrests.”
