THE UFC’s diagnosis on Conor McGregor’s injury has been revealed.

McGregor, 37, early this morning in the main event of UFC 329 in Las Vegas.

The former two-weight champion, who returned following a five-year layoff, injured his right knee after landing awkwardly following a flying left kick in the opening seconds of the first round.

His movement was compromised, so much so that referee Mike Beltran waved off the contest after a mere 69 seconds.

was quickly tended to by UFC medics after heading backstage.

And they, according to UFC supremo , believe he’s suffered a ruptured ACL.

During the post-fight press conference, White said of the fight: “I was expecting at least a one-round war.

“Who knew what Conor, was capable of, as far as cardio or whatever else, after a five-year layoff.

“And there you go. We’re assuming a blown ACL.

“I’m no doctor, but that’s what I figured when I saw it.

“And [our] doctors think the same thing too.”

A heartbroken McGregor, who was fighting for the first time since and, took to social media to convey his devastation at his third loss on the bounce.

And he dismissed suggestions of a pre-existing injury, saying: “My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury/injuries going into the fight.

“I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight.

“This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.”

It’s one win apiece for McGregor and Holloway in their series, which the latter wants to settle once and for all next year.

He said: “After turning around so fast for this fight in March, it’s been fast.

“But I’d love to see this Conor 170lbs domain that he was talking about. This different world he was talking about.

“I want to see what his injury is first, but I then want to come back again in 2027.

“I will take some time to have a break to see my family, and then you guys will see Blessed return in 2027.”
