and Devlin have been dreaming of becoming husband and wife at the Sistine Chapel.
But they have been forced into a rethink because the Vatican does not allow weddings to take place there.
A source close to the McGregor family told The Mirror : “Conor and Dee want to get married before Christmas and are planning a wedding at the Vatican in Rome.
“They are both staunch Catholics and it is their dream to wed there.
“They ideally would like to marry in the Sistine Chapel but it is not allowed so they may have to settle for the Cappella del Caro, which can accommodate 100 people beside St Peter’s Basilica.
“It is all hush hush at the moment, but December 12 is the date mentioned, so we will have to wait and see.”
McGregor, who has four children with Devlin, is preparing to tie the knot a matter of months after losing a civil case.
earlier this year, resulting in him being ordered to pay Nikita Hand more than £200,000 in damages after a jury found he did assault a woman at a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
McGregor, 37, denied the allegation and said he had “fully consensual sex” after being accused of “brutally raping and battering” his victim.
But the fighter lost his appeal on all five grounds and was ordered to pay in the region of £1.2million in legal fees .
After the verdict, Ms Hand said: “This appeal has retraumatised me over and over again. Being forced to relive what happened has had a huge impact on me.
“To every survivor out there, I know how hard it is but please don’t be silenced. You deserve to be heard. You also deserve justice.
“Today I can finally move on and try to heal.”
