Do you blame the keeper or the defender here? 🤔

Stockport County edged a 3-2 win over Rotherham at on Saturday.

And the game featured not one, not two but THREE own goals.

defender Seam Raggett turned into his own net to give Stockport the lead.

But they gifted an equaliser to the visitors just before half-time in hilarious fashion.

Stockport goalkeeper Ben Hinchcliffe easily caught a misdirected ball into his box.

And he looked to launch a quick counter attack after spotting a forward up the field.

He raced to the edge of his area and went for a big kick upfield out of his hands.

As he did so, defender Joseph Olowu ducked down.

However, Hinchcliffe managed to smash the ball right into Olowu’s backside and it ricocheted off his rear end – and flew straight into the back of the net.

Hinchliffe, Olowu and their County team-mates could barely believe what had happened as the home fans were plunged into stunned silence.

The Rotherham players, though, could not help but laugh at the ridiculous leveller.

And unsurprisingly, the video of the goal went viral on social media – with plenty of debate as to who was at fault.

One fan joked: “Give him the Puskass award.”

Another wrote: “An early contender for Own Goal of the Year up at Stockport today!!”

A third added: “Do I blame the defender who was stood still for the whole affair or the goalkeeper that runs straight at him and kicks the ball into him? Tough one that, can I ask the audience.”

A fourth replied: “How can you blame the defender? If he stands up still, the same thing happens.”

A fifth commented: “So FIFA game stuff does happen in real life.”

A sixth posted: “That’s a world-class own goal!!! Magnificent.”

A seventh typed: “It’s a calamitous error from the goalie.”

And a final user reminisced: “If they still did DVDs of the best/funniest own goals… this one by Stockport County would definitely be on it.”

Despite the nightmare moment, Stockport still went on to win.

They regained the lead when Cameron Dawson scored the third own goal of the game.

Sam Nombe found the right net for 2-2 before Benony Breki Andresson’s winner to continue promotion push while Rotherham remain on course for relegation after a seventh defeat in a row.
