COLIN Jost made a risque joke poking fun at Donald Trump and the late Arnold Palmer during Sunday’s coverage of the Ryder Cup.

The Saturday Night Live star, 43, has been presenting T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage during the weekend’s proceedings.

Team USA endured a nightmare opening two days and went into Sunday’s action trailing Europe by 11.5 to 4.5.

Jost didn’t shy away from the United States’ struggles, instead opening his broadcast by joking at his team’s expense.

The New Yorker said, “Well, there’s no sugar-coating it, folks.

“The Ryder Cup has been rough for American fans to watch.

“Like hair-dos at a Long Island prom, it’s been a gigantic blow-out.”

Jost then continued, “Team America is in deep trouble today. The odds of the US winning are longer than Arnold Palmer’s penis.

“That’s just what I heard from the President of the United States.”

Jost’s gag made reference to Trump’s previous comments regarding Palmer’s manhood.

In the 2022 book “Confidence Man”, author Maggie Haberman alleged that the 79-year-old bragged at a rally in 2020 about previously seeing Palmer, who died in 2016, undress.

Trump made a further reference to Palmer’s penis during a speech in the golf icon’s hometown of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, in October 2024.

The president gushed, “This is a guy that was all man.

“This man was strong and tough, and… when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there – they said, ‘Oh my God. That’s unbelievable’.”

Trump was criticised for the comment at the time.

Peg Palmer Wears, the seven-time major champion’s 69-year-old daughter, claimed that Trump was using her father to “cover over the important things”.

Palmer Wears also called the comments “disrespectful and inappropriate”.

Trump attended the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black alongside golf-mad granddaughter Kai.

The president’s attendance saw at the Long Island venue.

Trump will have been disappointed with what Team USA served up.

Jost summed up their woes by adding, “The mood here has certainly shifted. It has changed each day as the US fortunes have changed.

“On Friday I would say the vibe was electric, on Saturday it was nervous, and I’d say the vibe today is more like, ‘hey, want to see a dead body?'”
