A former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has slammed a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George for insinuating that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar cannot serve two masters, PDP and the African Democratic Congress ADC, at the same time.
Eze also tackled opinions that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, had dumped the PDP.
George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, had criticised Atiku and several other party chieftains claiming the former VP cannot serve two masters at the same time.
Eze, in a statement, on Tuesday, dismissed George’s insinuation, saying, “What Atiku and others did is collapsing the party into the alternative which is the ADC which seems to be a feasible platform for the project of rescuing Nigeria from the dungeon that Tinubu and his co-travellers have plunged Nigeria into.
“I am expecting Chief Bode George and others to stop acting the two barefaced and chameleon strategy and join ADC to save Nigeria from the mess that Wike and Tinubu have plunged our dear Country into.”;
According to the APC chieftain, Atiku as one of the founding members of the PDP and the party’s brain box, would never have dumped it for any reason.
“So to me, what Atiku and other key elders of the party have resolved to do is to collapse the mainstream of PDP into a more viable platform through which the national project of uprooting the current evil government can be achieved still retaining their membership of PDP,”; he said.
Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, explained in the statement that a former Senate President, David Mark, is the only notable member of the coalition who has publicly dumped the main opposition party.
According to him, all other members of the Coalition from the PDP are still in the party, including the former Vice President.
He said that Atiku only collapsed the PDP into the coalition, which according to Eze, was done for national interest.
