Club World Cup: Supercomputer predicts winner, Chelsea, Man City downfall

Published on June 10, 2025 at 05:28 AM

A Supercomputer has predicted the winner of this year’s FIFA Club World Cup starting next weekend.

It also predicted that Chelsea will be eliminated from the competition, while Manchester City will reach the final but won’t win it.

The expanded tournament will start on Sunday in the USA, with Chelsea and Man City representing the Premier League after they won the Champions League in 2021 and 2023, respectively.

Both the Blues and the Cityzens won the Club World Cup in its previous format.

However, according to Supercomputer conducted by BoyleSports, both teams will fail to win the competition this time, as Benfica will be crowned champions of the world.

It added that Man City will make it to the final of the Club World Cup by beating the likes of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Juventus in the knockout stage.

But Pep Guardiola’s side will ultimately lose 2-1 against Benfica in the final.
