Only 1% of the British public can answer the question correctly in under 30 seconds.
During tonight’s episode, three contestants, Jack Kettle, Dominic Jackson, and Dom Hall, made it to the final stage.
Having reached this point, all three had a chance to walk away with the impressive £96,000 jackpot.
All that stood between them and victory was one question – one that only 1% of the British public could answer correctly in under 30 seconds.
As the three anxious contestants awaited their fate, they were asked: “I keep forgetting my four-digit PIN number.
“I know each digit is higher than the previous one, but I need this diagram to remember it. What is my four-digit PIN number?”
The diagram displayed four rows of capital letters positioned randomly, but can you guess the answer?
After the 30 seconds elapsed, Lee asked the contestants for their answers to the question.
A nervous Jack responded: “9841, but I misread the question.”
Dominic answered: “I put 1489,” while Dom said, “1469.”
Lee then revealed that the correct answer was 1489, making Dominic Jackson the sole winner of the evening.
Earlier this week, another player breezed through a final question that left everyone else puzzled.
Contestant Lucie Alcock faced the question: “What letter of the alphabet replaces the question mark in this sentence: ANGLE RE GON ?”
The answer was the letter ‘N’, as the sequence consists of shape names that each miss the same number of letters from the beginning of their names as they have sides.
The full sequence is Triangle, Square, Pentagon, and Hexagon – with the letter N representing Hexagon.
“I have to ask, Lucie, how long did it take you to figure that out?” Lee inquired after revealing her victory.
The visibly surprised winner giggled and replied, “About half the time,” before exclaiming, “Oh my god!”
This means that Lucie is the only person, aside from others, to have won the full £100,000 on the show.
Three players advanced to compete for the massive jackpot in tonight’s episode.
Host Lee Mack announced the answer, resulting in the elimination of two players from the game.
