Paul Elliott, the comedy legend from the CHUCKLE Brothers, expresses his desire to demonstrate that the world is a stage by participating in Shakespearean plays.

He, who has received accolades for his work, mentioned that he would love the opportunity to portray characters from the Bard’s collection if given the chance.

However, the beloved comedian, known for his catchphrase "To me, to you" alongside his late brother Barry, admits he might find it challenging to memorize all the lines.

When asked about his aspirations in theatre, Paul quipped, “To me, or not to me, that is the question?”

“I highly doubt I could memorize those lines, but if the opportunity arose, I would certainly give it a try.”

One role he recognizes is beyond his reach is that of the next James Bond.

He humorously remarked that it would be more akin to “the retired James Bond, considering my age.”

Nonetheless, despite a play seeming to lack rhyme or reason, it would be yet another chance for him to broaden his acting abilities.

He portrayed a gangland enforcer in last year’s crime movie Fall To The Top and stated that he “jumped at the chance” to take on that role.

Paul shared, “I thought, ‘well, that suits me perfectly.’ I used to tease Barry in the Chuckle Brothers. Why not take it a step further?”

The Chuckle legend also works as a club DJ and offers personalized video messages to fans for £40 each on the shout-out platform Cameo.

Paul and Barry, hailing from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, created nearly 300 episodes of ChuckleVision for the BBC from 1987 to 2009.

Barry passed away in 2018 at the age of 73.
