CHRIS Hughes made a surprise dash across the Atlantic to join JoJo Siwa as romance rumours rumble on.
The former star, 32, sent fans into meltdown after posting a very cosy snap of , sprawled across him on a sofa in Mexico City.
It led many to insist the pair “hard launched”;; their relationship during her tour.
But it’s understood was just making sure he didn’t miss her 22nd birthday which lands today.
A source spilled: “Chris didn’t want to wait, he wanted to be there for her birthday.
“That’s what this was all about. It was important to him. It’s her birthday on May 19 so they’ll be spending it together.
“They’ll also have more privacy in Mexico and she would have missed him if he wasn’t there.
“He could’ve waited until she landed in the UK for the next leg of her tour later this month but they wanted to be able to catch up away from prying eyes.”;;
She is due on stage at Colours Hoxton in London on May 26.
The pair struck up a close friendship in the house, and have been dodging romance rumours for weeks.
Their bond has sent social media into overdrive, with fans pouring over every detail including a silver chain around JoJo’s neck, holding a ring said to have been gifted by Chris himself.
Chris’s decision to jet out to despite JoJo being scheduled to land in London within days only added fuel to the fire.
He was given the five star treatment at her concert – and was one of the when she came off stage.
A cosy snap of the reunion also showed JoJo lying on top of Chris, grinning as they stared into each others’ eyes.
It has been widely labelled a “hard launch”;;, a term used online when celebs finally go public with their partners. However, JoJo has always insisted their friendship is platonic.
JoJo was in a relationship with Australian influencer Kath Ebbs when she met Chris in the CBB house and within hours of leaving the house.
She’s since spoken about her closeness to Chris numerous times, making no secret of how much she’s missed him.
She said they hit it off when he stuck up for her in the CBB house over s derogartory slurs.

“We both just want to have fun in life ... It’s very chilling. What made it so special was Chris was there for me at my lowest times, and I was there for him in his lowest times.
“He actually stood up and explained (to Mickey Rourke)... to do that on day two. You don’t know that that was really hurtful, he offered to swap the beds ... that showed Chris’ true personality and it was beautiful to see.
