tvN’s upcoming drama “Head Over Heels”; has offered a first look at Choo Ja Hyun’s character!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Head Over Heels”; is a fantasy romance about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate. Cho Yi Hyun stars as Park Seong A, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. Choo Young Woo plays her first love Bae Gyeon U, who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death.
In the drama, Choo Ja Hyun takes on the role of Yeom Hwa, a well-known celebrity in the shaman world. Behind her seemingly gentle and kind appearance, Yeom Hwa hides her mysterious and captivating true nature, and her emotionless smile gives off an eerie chill. The surprising shift in Yeom Hwa’s demeanor sparks curiosity about her role as a potential twist in the romance between Park Seong A and Bae Gyeon U.
The sharp look in Yeom Hwa’s eyes as she looks at Park Seong A hints at a connection far from ordinary. Choo Ja Hyun remarked that she was drawn to the character of Yeom Hwa, a role not found in the original story. She recalled, “I was excited to see how I could bring the role of a shaman to life. As an actor, I was eager to create a shaman character that felt uniquely mine.”; Explaining her reason for taking on the role, Choo Ja Hyun added, “I felt a sense of responsibility to make this a character viewers would remember.”;
Describing her character, Choo Ja Hyun said, “Yeom Hwa is someone who throws herself into hell and lives while destroying herself. The deep wounds she carries inside made her feel more complex and tragic.”; She continued, “As viewers watch Yeom Hwa, who has no choice but to accept her tragic fate, I believe they’ll feel both sorrow and suspense.”;
