DEREK CHISORA says Filip Hrgovic is fuelled for his fight with Moses Itauma after defeat to Daniel Dubois cost him his dream house.

It comes two years after he was halted in eight rounds in Saudi Arabia against in 2024 – due to cuts on BOTH of his eyes.

was ringside in Riyadh that night and revealed he consoled a heartbroken Hrgovic backstage.

He said on SunSport’s No Glove Lost episode: “Let me tell you a quick story. Hrgovic lost a fight in Saudi Arabia.

“And I sat with him in the dressing room when he was doing his eyes, his stitches.

“And he goes, ‘I moved to Florida, I bought a big house, and I lost this fight. So this pushed me back down at the bottom now. But I have to work harder to come back.’

“And two years later he’s back now, he’s got a new trainer, new team, so we’ll find out.”

Hrgovic – now trained by American Abel Sanchez – has just that one loss on his 21-fight record.

Meanwhile 21-year-old prodigy Itauma – never even passing the sixth round.

Chisora said: “There’s no balance in boxing. You never know. There’s no balance in boxing.

“If you can take them out in the first round, take them out. Yeah, but in boxing there’s no balance.

“If you can knock them out in the first 30 seconds, you knock them out. You can’t say ‘I’m going to carry him.’

“No, you knock them out. And listen, this fight, it’s going to be a good fight. Hrgovic is not coming to lay down.

“So he’s coming to win. So this will unlock what everybody’s been waiting to see of Moses.”

But Hrgovic, 34, is coming to rip up the script leaving Chisora sitting on the fence.

He predicted: “I can only judge when I see everybody on the scales. But right now, I say this before, it’s going to be a cracking fight.

“Moses is going to come in in shape, Hrgovic is going to come in in shape. This is not a one-way fight for both fighters.

“They’re all going to go through something else they’ve never been through. So I can’t call it, to be honest. I’m not picking one.”
