THE Cheltenham Festival 2026 reaches its climax at Prestbury Park today with the iconic Gold Cup.
Our Lucky 15
Cheltenham Day 4
- Selma De Vary 13:20
- Spindleberry 14:00
- Doctor Steinberg 15:20
- Jango Baie 16:00
A Lucky 15 is a bet made up of four horses in different races, combining 15 bets in total – four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold.
That means punters can still get a return if just one wins, while the payout increases quickly if two or more come in.
Here’s our Lucky 15 for Day 4 of the Cheltenham Festival – and why we’ve picked them.
Selma De Vary
13:20 – JCB Triumph Hurdle
Willie Mullins has an outstanding record in this race and Selma De Vary could add another win for the yard. She showed plenty of promise on her Irish debut when finishing behind a smart stablemate at the Dublin Racing Festival. With that run under her belt and improvement expected, she looks a major contender.
Spindleberry
14:00 – Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase
Spindleberry drops back into mares’ company after facing elite opposition in the Irish Gold Cup last time out. That run can be forgiven and her earlier form over fences suggests she has plenty of quality. Against her own division, she has the ability to make a big impact.
Doctor Steinberg
15:20 – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle
Doctor Steinberg has created a strong impression since switching to hurdles and arrives here in excellent form. His latest victory at Leopardstown showed both stamina and class, and he shapes like this longer trip will suit. If progressing again, he looks right in the mix.
Jango Baie
16:00 – Cheltenham Gold Cup
Jango Baie has already proven his class with last season’s Arkle success at this track. He ran with plenty of credit in the King George and finished strongly despite not enjoying the smoothest passage. With the extra distance likely to suit, he could be a serious Gold Cup player.
