LIAM ROSENIOR has opened up on the effects that the viral ‘David Brent’ memes about him have had on his personal life.

But away from the grass, much of the media attention aimed at the 41-year-old has been surrounding his unusual comments and methods when it comes to his coaching style.

Antics such as making a have led fans to draw comparisons between Rosenior and David Brent from comedy series The Office.

He told Sky Sports : “It doesn’t affect me because I’m too old by about three or four years, I’m not on social media.

“I don’t see it, but my kids are all over it and when they see funny pictures of Will from The Inbetweeners, or David Brent, they send it to me and laugh at me. They love it.

“There was one about my dress sense where they said I had decent dress sense, my daughter thought that was hilarious, she hates my dress sense.

“It affects your family. I’ve had conversations with them to just enjoy what is an amazing experience for me at a massive club and hopefully they can see some really special days with me being at this club.”
