Fans let their frustrations with the club’s board be known after the game on the streets surrounding the stadium.

A group banded together to chant against the ownership but were bizarrely holding carrots in a video that has gone viral on social media.

While waving the root vegetable, they could be heard singing: “They don’t care about us. All we care about is Chelsea FC.”

The protest has been slammed by rival fans as cringey, with reactions on social media.

One posted: “Absolutely embarrassing.”

A second wrote: “I thought AFTV was embarrassing but this is up there.”

Chelsea will need to be perfect in their final games of the season in order to have any chance of Champions League next term.

The Blues would also have to rely on Liverpool winning a maximum of just two games.

The club’s supporters did have a main protest alongside sister club Strasbourg before the match.

The two groups of fans banded together to protest the BlueCo ownership.

They could be seen parading flags, lighting flares and singing chants as they were united in one clear message – “BlueCo out”.

The Blues will look to return to winning ways as they face Brighton on Tuesday evening at the Amex Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the game, manager Liam Rosenior said: “It’s not insurmountable but it gives us a mountain to climb.

We have to go into Brighton [on Tuesday] with an idea that we have to win that game and kick-start the rest of our season.”
