CHELSEA can jump into the top four for a couple of days at least, if beating relegation-threatened Burnley on Saturday.

Chelsea’s decent run of form continued last week when thumping Hull 4-0 in the FA Cup last weekend.

Prior to that, they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw at home to Leeds and they need to make amends here, with a chance to temporarily jump into the top four.

Their home form has been a bit hit-and-miss and in five of the last seven games they’ve conceded 2+ goals, which isn’t form of a European side.

Scoring goals hasn’t been too much of an issue having notched 18 times in their last seven games, despite the sensational run of missed open goals from Cole Palmer, Estevao and Liam Delap.

For Burnley, their last Premier League game was a huge 3-2 win at Crystal Palace to leave them nine points from safety but with a sense of optimism.

That will likely have been drained having lost 2-1 to League One side Mansfield in the FA Cup last week though and that’s not the result you want before heading to one of the big four.

Too strong

Chelsea should be far too strong for Burnley here. As shown by the above odds in what’s meant to be the most competitive league in the world.

Being able to rest players for the FA Cup last weekend and the fact they played on Friday night ensures they should come here pretty fresh.

Chelsea have scored 12 in their last five games – even with a blank against Arsenal in there – with Burnley conceding nine in four games, which included games with Crystal Palace, West Ham and Mansfield. Should be routine.
