Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has congratulated the Super Falcons on their successful outing at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons secured a record-extending 10th title at the competition, coming from two goals down to defeat the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco 3–2 in the final.

Justine Madugu’s side recorded the highest number of goals (14) and conceded the fewest (three) at the WAFCON 2024 finals.

The quartet of Chiamaka Nnadozie, Michelle Alozie, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Esther Okoronkwo were named in the Team of the Tournament, while Madugu was named Coach of the Tournament.

Chelle said the Super Falcons fully deserved to win the trophy.

“I want to congratulate the coach, it was a great tournament, I’m so proud of you and your technical staff. You deserve this trophy. I’m so happy for you and your family,” Chelle told the Super Eagles media.
