Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle can now rest a little easier after two of his injured players made their return to action this weekend, according to DAILY POST.

Winger Samuel Chukwueze and midfielder Raphael Onyedika played for Fulham and Club Brugge, respectively, on Saturday.

Chukwueze had a calf injury during Nigeria’s home match against Benin Republic in Uyo last month.

After missing Fulham’s last three matches, the winger made a brief comeback, playing for 13 minutes in the 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday night.

Onyedika, who was sidelined during the Super Eagles’ matches against Lesotho and Benin due to a hamstring injury, also returned to the field for Club Brugge on Saturday.

The 24-year-old played for 64 minutes in the 2-1 win against Dender.

Both players are now anticipated to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs, which commence on November 13.
