Speaking on the Long Winded With Gabby Windey podcast, Charli said: “I feel like I can have a lot of fun with it, poke fun at what people who don’t really know me that well think of me.”

“I’m 33 and I just feel great. I feel so good.

“I feel so much better than I felt when I was 25. I feel so much more in control of who I am and what I want.

“Obviously, not always. Sometimes, I’m a complete nervous wreck and I hate myself.

“When I was a lot younger, I think I was a lot more nervous about ageing – in that way we’re kind of indoctrinated to think as women, like, ‘Oh my god, we’re getting old, we’re 30’.

“I feel awesome. And I feel f***ing cool.”

The singer added: “I have female friends who are in their forties and I’m like, ‘Damn, you’re so cool, so chic and have incredible style and are so intelligent’. I can’t wait for that.

“Even though sometimes I’m like, ‘Damn, it’s gone by really fast’, I feel really good about getting older.

“There’s something really chic about it to me.”
