MARVIN DUCKSCH has apologised to his Birmingham City team-mates after being charged with drink-driving.

The striker was charged after he was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Easter Monday.

Ducksch, 32, was detained at the scene of the crash, which happened on the A3400 near Henley-in-Arden, close to the club’s training ground.

formally charged the German on April 13 and he is due before Warwickshire Magistrates in Leamington on May 20.

The former Werder Bremen star has now apologised for his involvement to his Blues team-mates.

The confirmed the striker’s regrets with a statement on social media.

It read: “The club can confirm that Marvin Ducksch has been charged in relation to an offence of driving with excess alcohol.

“Marvin wishes to apologise to his teammates, staff and supporters of the club and accepts full responsibility for his actions.

“The matter has been dealt with internally and no further comment will be made at this time.”

Ducksch was dropped from the matchday squad for the 2-0 victory over Wrexham by manager Chris Davies on Sunday.

The win over Wrexham put an end to three straight defeats for the West Midlands outfit.

The Blues have four games left of the Championship season as they look to try and finish in the top half.

Davies will have to make a decision whether or not to recall Ducksch to his squad for the games against , , and .

Ducksch joined Birmingham from the side in August 2025 on a three-year contract.

The club for his signature with minority owner pushing for the deal.

The two-time international has scored ten goals in the this term in 32 appearances.

He has also played for the likes of , FC St. Pauli, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Hannover 96.
