Champions League semi-final: Barcelona, Inter Milan play out 3-3 draw in first leg

Published on April 30, 2025 at 09:07 PM

Barcelona were held to a 3-3 draw by Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.

It was the Serie A side who raced into a two-goal lead early in the first half.

Marcus Thuram got on the scoresheet within 30 seconds, before Denzel Dumfries doubled their advantage with a stunning overhead kick.

But Lamine Yamal pulled one back, before Ferran Torres ghosted into Inter’s defence to equalize before the break.

Simeone Inzaghi’s side took the lead again through Dumfries’ header from a corner kick.

Raphinha then saw his long-range effort bounce in off Yann Sommer to level the match again.

Both teams will face each other again in the second leg at the San Siro next Tuesday, to decide the first team in this year’s final.
